Bacchus 2024

Winemaking Notes

The 2024 Bacchus fruit was hand harvested at optimum ripeness between September and October 2024 from vineyards across Essex’s famous Crouch Valley, below 220m. Each parcel of fruit was gently handled and fermented in individual lots at temperatures ranging from 12°C to 17°C, with specially selected yeast strains to help enhance our house style of Bacchus.  After racking, the wines were selected and blended, then left to rest on fine lees for several months before final filtration and bottling.
