For a lot of us, New Year’s Eve will look a little different this year than it might have previously. Rather than attending mass gatherings and bar-hopping, we will be contained to our households – but that doesn’t mean your evening has to be a dull affair.
2020 has been a challenging year for many, so seeing it out with a bang seems like the perfect way of resetting in time for 2021. We’ve put together a collection of ideas of how you can still make your New Year’s Eve 2021 an enjoyable affair, with the inclusion of some of our best-loved products to help take your celebrations to the next level.
Make a New Year’s Brunch
Brunch is arguably the best meal out there, and a homemade New Year’s brunch gives you the freedom to build your dream menu to exactly how you would want it – whether it be a massive stack of American-style pancakes, Eggs Benedict or just a hearty fry-up, it is sure to kickstart your celebrations.
Of course, perhaps the most important element of a brunch are the mimosas! Although traditionally made with champagne, our Brut Reserve Sparkling wine is a fantastic alternative. Simply quarter-fill a champagne flute with the sparkling wine and top up with orange juice for the perfect accompaniment to your feast!
Get Dressed Up
Restrictions in 2020 have meant that the opportunities to wear your finery have been limited. But just because you won’t be leaving the house, it doesn’t mean that you can’t get dressed up for the final time this year – who cares if it’s only the dog who’s going to see you.
Have a Cocktail Evening
In years gone by, you will have no doubt spent a large portion of your New Year’s Eve sat waiting for what seemed like an eternity before you were served your cocktail (with an added price premium for the occasion!), so why not take matters into your own hands and mix up your favourite cocktails at home?

Have a Zoom Party
The dreaded “Z word” will send a shiver down the spines of many of you after this year, setting off flashbacks of poor connectivity issues and leaving the words “can you hear me?” and “your mic is on mute” ringing in your ears! But at a time where you may not be able to share the evening with your loved ones in person, a virtual party is the next best thing.
How you do it is entirely up to you; you could opt to host a quiz or just simply count down to midnight with those closest to you – just make sure your microphone is unmuted.
Toast at Midnight
Saying goodbye to 2020 will be a cause for celebration for a lot of you, so why not toast the occasion with something special? Our aforementioned Brut Reserve will make for the perfect drink to usher in the New Year – providing you haven’t already polished it all off with your mimosas!
